Leeds United could receive a timely lift for Sunday’s Premier League finale at West Ham, with Struijk hinting at involvement. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the defender posted a match graphic on his Instagram story, often a sign of squad inclusion.

Injured quintet Gabi Gudmundsson, Noah Okafor, Ilia Gruev, Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff had already been ruled out. Struijk and Jayden Bogle were listed as doubts at Friday’s pre-match briefing.

Struijk missed last weekend’s hosting of Brighton with a hip issue that forced him off midway through the second half at Tottenham Hotspur the previous Monday. He had been a doubt for that Tottenham fixture. On Friday, Daniel Farke said the defender had returned to training and could be available for the trip.

As of Sunday lunchtime there had been no fresh update on Bogle, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring problem. Farke said the right-back might feature if his body responded well.
