Sacha Tavolieri reports that Stuttgart are close to finalizing a deal for Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss. The Swabian Bundesliga outfit wishes to react quickly to news that Deniz Undav will be out injured long term and sign another attacking midfielder as soon as possible. Tavolieri claims that the Moroccan is en-route to Stuttgart now to complete his medical.

Stuttgart may have two new North African additions to unveil today. Nice’s Badredine Bouanani is due to complete a €20m transfer to the Baden-Württemberg capital soon. Tavolieri reports that El Khannouss will also join Stuttgart on a permanent deal and sign a four-year-contract. The 28-year-old currently maintains an estimated €28m market value.

El Khannouss has long served as a topic with plenty of Bundesliga links emerging over the course of the summer. It appears as if – following Nick Woltemade’s blockbuster sale to Newcastle – Stuttgart finally possess the purse to make it happen. Woltemade’s transfer leaves the Cannstatter with an estimated summer transfer balance of close to €100m.
