Suárez double keeps Sporting CP second | OneFootball

Sporting CP 3-0 Estoril at the Estádio José Alvalade keeps the hosts second in Liga Portugal, with Luis Suárez striking twice before Daniel Bragança added a late third.

In the sixth minute, Suárez tapped in from Trincão's cross to open the scoring. The Colombian finished again from Morten Hjulmand's pass (16.).

Joel Robles kept Estoril in it with smart saves from Trincão before the break and Souleymane Faye after the restart. Rui Silva was alert at the other end, denying João Carvalho on the stroke of half time and Rafik Guitane soon after the restart.

Late on, substitutes Nuno Santos and Bragança combined, the midfielder finishing in the fourth minute of stoppage time to round off the night.

There were brief first half stoppages for treatment to Maximiliano Araújo and Felix Bacher before play resumed.

Leões registered 14 attempts with seven on target and 53.3% possession. Estoril produced seven attempts, three on target, and one corner. Suárez is now on 22 league goals, first in the Liga Portugal scoring chart.
