Benfica beat Alverca 2-1 at the Estádio da Luz to extend their unbeaten Liga Portugal campaign to 21 matches and stay third.
Andreas Schjelderup opened the scoring in the 16th minute, turning in from close range. Figueiredo levelled for Alverca (30.) after Marko Milovanovic's pass.
Matheus Mendes kept the visitors in it with eight saves as Águias pressed, notably denying Rafa and Gianluca Prestianni.
Vangelis Pavlidis briefly thought he had restored the lead, but his finish was overturned by VAR for handball (63.).
José Mourinho turned to Anísio Cabral late on and the substitute met Samuel Dahl's cross with a deft header for the decisive goal (86.). It was his first goal for the club.
Águias dominated possession at 63.5% and produced 29 attempts, 10 on target. Alverca mustered six attempts, testing the goalkeeper twice.
Next, Águias visit Santa Clara. They then host Real Madrid in the Champions League. Alverca visit Tondela next.
