The second soap opera of Roma’s summer transfer window has reached its final credits.
Summerville, one step away from becoming a new Giallorossi player, has chosen Saudi Arabia.
He said yes to Simone Inzaghi’s Al Hilal, preferring petrodollars to the possibility of continuing to play in Europe and the Champions League. What made the difference was the Saudi club’s financial offer.
As reported by Sky Sport DE, Al Hilal will pay West Ham approximately 65 million pounds for the Dutchman. Summerville, on the other hand, has a contract until 2030.
The figures are staggering: 20 million pounds net per season, including bonuses, for a total of approximately 80 million pounds over the entire term of the deal. An unattainable offer for Roma.
With the Summerville option finally shelved, the Giallorossi are looking ahead. Nusa remains the name at the top of the list, but keep an eye on El Mala as well. The German could be D’Amico’s surprise card to give Gasperini his first purchase of this summer transfer window.
