Sunderland and Premier League newcomers Hull City have been warned that Charleroi midfielder Yacine Titraoui’s price could rise during the World Cup with Algeria, with both clubs linked with a move.

According to Maghreb Foot, a source close to the player said both clubs are very interested and that Titraoui is concentrating on the fast-approaching tournament. The source added that he had told them his dream was to play in the Premier League and that he did not want to play in any other league. They also indicated Charleroi would not comment on his future before the World Cup and that his valuation could explode if he shines, with the club waiting to secure the best price.

Sunderland are finalising summer plans to strengthen Regis Le Bris’ squad after the former Lorient boss led the club into European competition for only the second time in their history. Numerous players have been linked, with Titraoui impressing in Belgium last season.

Hull are also thought to be keen, while Titraoui is set to face Jordan, Austria and Argentina at the World Cup finals.

The tournament schedule spans the next three weeks.
