Sunderland and Newcastle United 'express interest' in £10m-rated West Ham United star | OneFootball

Sunderland and Newcastle United are among clubs reported to have shown interest in West Ham United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka after the Hammers were relegated on the final day, according to TeamTalk.

The report says Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have already signalled intent to pursue a deal worth around £10million, with West Ham keen to move on several big earners. It adds Fulham, along with the North East pair, are also keen on the 28-year-old.

Sunderland are weighing up options for a pivotal summer as Regis Le Bris seeks added depth for a Europa League campaign. He led the club into European competition for only the second time in their history following their successful return to the top flight, and quality, rather than quantity, will be prioritised.

A Europa League schedule that could include ties with Marseille, AC Milan and Juventus would test the squad, increasing the need for reinforcements.

Wan-Bissaka, the former Manchester United full-back, is an international team-mate of Black Cats midfielder Noah Sadiki. Both have been named in DR Congo’s squad for this summer’s World Cup finals in North America, and the defender prepares amid uncertainty over his future.
