Blench is a product of the Sunderland academy system. The youngster has successfully graduated into the first team squad and she now has her eyes set upon gaining senior minutes next season.

After signing on with Sunderland, Blench said “It’s a really exciting moment for me because I’ve been working towards this opportunity for a long time.

“Since being part of the first team squad, the girls have been great, and I’ve learned a lot working alongside Demi [Lambourne] and Grace [Moloney]. I’m really grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with them.

“Stepping up into the first team environment has really helped my development. The coaches have been great since I joined the club, so I’m really excited to kick on and keep pushing for my first senior appearance.”

Sunderland and Blench are set for an exciting season in 2026/2027 with the club now operating under the Bay Collective multi-club ownership platform.
