Sunderland ‘linked’ with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Arthur Avom | OneFootball

Sunderland are being linked with Premier League defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Lorient midfielder Arthur Avom as Florent Ghisolfi plans a busy summer. With Europa League football to come after a seventh-place finish under Régis Le Bris, depth is a priority.

Bild claims Union Berlin are tracking Avom and could move this summer, while Bournemouth and Sunderland are also watching the 21-year-old Cameroon international. The report says he made 31 Ligue 1 appearances last season, scoring twice with one assist.

A defensive midfielder at Lorient, he fits Le Bris’ familiarity with the French market and his former club. Extra European fixtures could push Sunderland to consider younger options with upside.

The West Ham Way reports Everton are keen on the 28-year-old, with Sunderland, Newcastle United, Fulham and Fenerbahce also monitoring his situation. It adds West Ham could seek a fee of £15 million to £20 million.

Wan-Bissaka has featured for Crystal Palace, Manchester United and West Ham, offering proven defensive quality at full-back. Sunderland already have Trai Hume and Nordi Mukiele on the right, and Hume’s versatility gives Le Bris options. For now, the Wan-Bissaka link looks one to watch, with Everton said to be further along.
