According to Sunderland Echo, 13 Sunderland players are out on loan this season, with mixed fortunes as the run-in looms.

Simon Adingra has three goals in seven Ligue 1 games for Monaco after one in 15 for Sunderland. If he maintains this, Monaco will surely trigger their £16m option. Anthony Patterson has seven straight starts for Millwall and three clean sheets, with his side two points off the top two.

Dan Neil has been rotated at Ipswich, helping trim the gap to second to two points, his deal expires this summer, and a Premier League return at Portman Road might beckon. Jenson Seelt’s Wolfsburg spell has swung from a DFB-Pokal red to an own goal and conceded penalty in a 4-3 loss to Freiburg, and he has not featured since a knee injury, with Wolfsburg 17th.

Arthur Masuaku has had one Ligue 1 minute and nine in the Coupe de France for Lens. Leo Hjelde has 51 minutes in five for Sheffield United, while Timothee Pembele has seven for Le Havre, two starts, and only one win. Alan Browne is a versatile success for Middlesbrough.
