Sunderland ‘to resist’ Brian Brobbey exit amid European interest | OneFootball

Brian Brobbey’s World Cup form has intensified transfer chatter, and a new report outlines Sunderland’s stance as European interest builds.

According to Tutto Juve, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and VfL Stuttgart are tracking the 24-year-old, with other clubs said to have made enquiries. The report indicates Sunderland do not appear willing to let go, considering him a key part of their project.

In the Premier League, he has recently been linked with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.

Brobbey has scored three goals across his last two World Cup appearances in North America, extending the rich vein of form he showed on Wearside last season.

There are no negotiations under way at present. Any deal would largely depend on the player’s willingness to move and the finances required to shift Sunderland’s position, while interest from Juventus could persist.
