Sunderland’s summer window is gathering pace, with fresh claims around Robin Roefs, Frank Anguissa and Lutsharel Geertruida as interest builds in key players.

Geertruida is set to return to RB Leipzig after his loan, with Sunderland not expected to make the move permanent. Liverpool are again being linked and Everton are also said to be monitoring the versatile defender, with Leipzig believed to want more than £20million.

According to Areanapoli, Napoli have not set an official valuation for Anguissa but are unlikely to let him leave for less than €20million, roughly £17.4million. The 30-year-old, linked with Sunderland in January, would be a high-impact addition, though his age and fee make it a significant call as he turns 31 later this year.

The Sun claims Chelsea and Liverpool are tracking Roefs after his outstanding first season in England. The 23-year-old joined from NEC Nijmegen last summer for an initial £9million and, after impressing in the Premier League, is now said to be valued at around £50million.

Régis Le Bris’ side have secured their top-flight status, and the club face important decisions on loans, potential incomings and the futures of core players. With a challenging second season ahead, Sunderland’s approach to this window will be pivotal.
