Fenerbahçe beat Başakşehir 3-1 at the Şükrü Saracoğlu to stay second in the Süper Lig, with Talisca scoring a hat-trick.
The Brazilian opened the scoring in the 28th minute, before Amine Harit levelled (36.). After the restart, Talisca restored Kanarya's lead (57.) and added a curling third (72.), both created by Fred. He is now on 19 Süper Lig goals, third in the scoring chart.
Muhammed Sengezer made several saves to keep Başakşehir in it, but could not deny the Brazilian's treble. Mert Günok was alert when required for Kanarya.
After half-time changes, including Ousseynou Ba for Jerome Opoku, Başakşehir threatened through Davie Selke, yet Fred's influence grew as he supplied two assists.
There was a brief first half stoppage for treatment to Sengezer.
Kanarya registered 22 attempts with nine on target. Başakşehir produced 15 attempts and four on target.
Next, Kanarya visit Konyaspor. Başakşehir host Samsunspor.
