AC Milan were one of the teams linked with signing Radu Dragusin before he went to Spurs, and a report has claimed that their interest has been rekindled.

Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed that the Rossoneri tried to sign Dragusin in January and that an offer of Colombo plus €20m could be enough to satisfy Genoa after contacts were held with the player’s entourage.

However, Tottenham were the ones who landed Dragusin, signing him in a €31m deal after the Romania international chose them over Bayern Munich. His agent confirmed that Milan came forward, but explained that the defender wanted a move abroad.

According to what is being reported by TBR Football, Milan are once again interested in signing Dragusin alongside the Serie A leaders Napoli, having seen that he has made just five Premier League starts since arriving.

Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are ahead of him in the pecking order, but the report claims that Tottenham ‘have no plans to weaken an impressive collection of centre-halves’ by letting Dragusin go.

Dragusin’s entourage are listening to the enquiries that are coming in but are ‘simply keeping their options open’ rather than pushing for a move, while his agent recently indicated that Tottenham would not consider letting Dragusin go.

“It is normal for Napoli to have him on the list. He is a footballer who played well in Italy. I don’t think that Tottenham will part with Radu, even in the current situation, where he is not a starter,” he said.

“Apart from Romero and Van de Ven, they have no one [at centre-half]. I think that Radu will get more chances this year. And, if he plays 20 to 25 matches this season, I’m satisfied.”
