Real Madrid faced off against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 clash. Los Blancos made a decent start to the game and found themselves at a numerical advantage in the 20th minute when Bernardo Silva was sent off by the referee. Vinicius Junior scored the opener from the penalty spot just two minutes later. However, Erling Haaland equalised for the home team in the 41st minute as the two sides went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.

Vinicius Junior ended up scoring the winning goal for Alvaro Arbeloa’s side in injury time. The contest finished with the Madrid giants securing a narrow 2-1 win on the night (5-1 on aggregate).
