As has been confirmed by multiple reliable sources, Barcelona are edging closer to the signing of teenage winger Roony Bardghji from FC Copenhagen.

The La Liga champions have reached an agreement with the Danish giants over a deal worth around €2.5 million for the 19-year-old starlet whose contract stands to expire at the end of the year.

With personal terms unlikely to be an issue, Bardghji is expected to finalise his move to Barça in the coming days.

Building on that, Matteo Moretto on ESPN has come forward with a fresh update which sheds light on Barcelona’s plans for Bardghji.

As per the update, the Catalan giants see the Swedish winger as a player for the future and the idea is for him to train with the senior team but play for the reserve team i.e., Barça Atletic.

On top of that, the report states that there is a possibility that Bardghji could travel with the first-team squad to Asia for the pre-season tour so that manager Hansi Flick can get familiar with the youngster and his abilities.

Flick is already planning on taking a number of youth players on the tour with talents like Jofre Torrents, Toni Fernandez, Guille Fernandez, Pedro Fernandez, Landry Farre, and Juan Hernandez, among others, expected to be called up.

Now, it is not ruled out that Bardghji, once he completes the move to Barcelona, will travel to Asia with the first-team players.

Barça are scheduled to play a friendly against Vissel Kobe in Japan before travelling to South Korea where they will be involved in two more matches before returning to Spain.
