This season, several Lazio players have been displaying signs of improvement under the guidance of Marco Baroni, and their exploits have been reflected by their rising market values, explains Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).
The Biancocelesti endured a troublesome campaign with Maurizio Sarri and then Igor Tudor in charge, but Baroni has swiftly managed to steady the ship following an eventful summer that witnessed a change of the guard.
The Roman newspaper focuses in particular on four Lazio stars whose values have soared over the past few months. And while none of these players are up for sale, their rising market values constitute significant boosts for the club’s financial state.
The most glaring case is certainly Nuno Tavares who has arguably been the biggest revelation of the new Serie A campaign. The Italian capital side will eventually secure the Portuguese’s services from Arsenal on a permanent basis by paying €5 million, but his value has reached at least €30 million. Moreover, Lazio President Claudio Lotito has recently declared he wouldn’t even sell the enthralling left-back for €70M.
Moreover, Taty Castellanos cost the Biancocelesti €19 million. But after an underwhelming first campaign in Italian football, the Argentine bomber is now proving his worth and his current value is estimated at around €28 million.
The same goes for Taty’s striking partner Boulaye Dia who sealed a transfer from Salernitana for €11.3 million but is currently valued at €20M.
Finally, Lazio splashed €17 million to sign Nicolo Rovella from Juventus. But after showcasing his impressive skills in the middle of the park this season, the 22-year-old’s valuation has now exceeded €25 million, claims the source.
