Alloa Athletic gave theRangers a Guard of Honour at Ibrox after theRangers won the Scottish Championship at the second attempt – having lost 8-1 on aggregate to Motherwell in a play-off the year before, as the 2012 formed Ibrox club who had started life in the old third division (the 4th tier of Scottish football) made their journey through the divisions to reach the Scottish Premiership for the first time in 2016.

Well done to Chelsea for  their sportsmanship. Over to Barry Ferguson to see if he can be big enough to recognise Celtic as Champions, like any other side in the league would surely do.

Don’t be bitter Barry, be better than that.

Barry Ferguson has now confirmed that it won’t happen at Ibrox on Sunday, which is a pity.
