When it comes to dictating the rhythm of Barcelona’s game, no player does it better than Pedri. The young midfielder has an unmatched ability to control the tempo, ensuring that the team functions smoothly.
If he feels confident on the pitch, everything falls into place like clockwork. When he is fully engaged, his teammates thrive. If the game runs through him, the order is restored, and Barcelona become an unstoppable force.
His vision and precision in passing allow him to break defensive lines with ease, making the team more dominant. When Pedri is at his best, Barcelona’s chances of victory increase significantly.
There is no other player in the squad who exerts as much influence on the team’s overall performance.
His involvement in the game is often a reflection of Barcelona’s condition—if he sees a lot of the ball, it usually means the team is in control; if he is absent from the play, it is a sign of struggle.

At the moment, Pedri is reaching the peak of his form. Few midfielders in world football manage to connect their team’s play as seamlessly as he does.
Under normal circumstances, he would be a strong contender for the Ballon d’Or, although the award tends to favour goal scorers, and that, unfortunately, is not his primary strength.
After a long period of dealing with injuries, Pedri is now one of Hansi Flick’s most dependable players.
Thanks to the club’s careful management and medical support, he has remained fit throughout the season, missing only one match due to illness. In the other 37 games, his contributions have been invaluable to the team.
Ahead of the crucial tie against Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone will undoubtedly attempt to cut off Pedri’s passing options, but the midfielder has consistently shown his ability to evade pressure, proving himself to be a true escape artist.
If Atletico fail to limit his influence, their chances of leaving with a positive result will be slim. However, if they manage to disrupt his flow, they could gain a crucial advantage in their pursuit of a favourable outcome against Barcelona.
