With the January transfer window right around the corner, some players will be permitted to freely speak to foreign clubs ahead of their contracts expiring at the end of the season.

Here are some of those playing in other countries who will currently be allowed to discuss pre-contract agreements with Premier League clubs, having yet to sign a contract extension with their current teams…

Alphonso Davies

The pacey Bayern Munich left-back is yet to agree a contract extension with the German giants and will surely have plenty interested in his services. Real Madrid have been heavily linked, however.

Joshua Kimmich

Davies’ team-mate Kimmich is also out of contract at the end of the season. He has been a fantastic player for Bayern and has the versatility to play in defence and midfield. With plenty of experience at the top level he would surely be a great addition for many English clubs.

Leroy Sane

The third big Bayern star who can talk to foreign clubs in January, having yet to sign a new deal with the club. The former Man City player has been a rotation option this season but would bolster the attacking options of many clubs.

Jonathan David

Lille striker David has scored 11 times in 15 league games this season and has previously been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal. The 24-year-old looks set to move on at the end of the season.

Jonathan Tah

The Bayer Leverkusen defender played a big part in the club’s Bundesliga winning season of 2023/24 but is reportedly keen on a move away with his contract running out in six months.

Angel Gomes

Gomes was called up to the England squad under Lee Carsley earlier this year and impressed, as he has done at Lille too. He might be keen on a return to the Premier League after spending five years abroad.
