The Championship season delivered drama right to the final whistle. After 46 demanding matches, Coventry City finished top of the pile to lift the title, capping an outstanding season in style.

Joining them in the Premier League next term are Ipswich Town, who secured automatic promotion on the final day to complete an immediate return to the top flight.

Behind the top two, the battle for the play-offs went down to the wire. Millwall, Middlesbrough, Southampton and Hull City all booked their places in the end-of-season shootout, with one final promotion spot still up for grabs. 

At the other end, Oxford United, Leicester City and Sheffield Wednesday have all been relegated to League One.
