England manager Thomas Tuchel has urged parents to allow their children to watch the Three Lions’ next World Cup match against Mexico at 1am BST.

The Three Lions advanced to the final 16 after Harry Kane scored two goals against the DR Congo on Wednesday (1 July).

Their next match against the tournament’s co-hosts at the Azteca Stadium kicks off in the early hours of Monday, when many children will be fast asleep.

However, Tuchel said that school children should be allowed to stay up late on this one occasion.

‘There’s so much school to go to but the World Cup is every four years. There will be a big, big match on in four days. We need the support of everyone, and especially of the children.’
