Clubs in Saudi Arabia and Italy are hoping to capitalise on Arsenal’s failed pursuit of Benjamin Sesko with a move for the RB Leipzig striker.
Arsenal held talks with Leipzig over a deal to sign the Slovenia international earlier this summer but failed to reach an agreement on a transfer fee.
The Gunners have since turned their attention to Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, with discussions over a deal advanced.
Several sides are now hoping to capitalise on the breakdown of Arsenal’s pursuit. Transfer journalist Rudy Galetti has claimed that Al-Hilal have asked for the conditions of a potential deal.
The Saudi Pro League side want to sign a marquee forward this summer, after failing to convince Napoli’s Victor Osimhen to join the club earlier in the window.
Leipzig have also received enquiries from two unnamed Serie A teams, though the German side are insistent that any side meets an asking price of around €80m (£69.1m) for the 22-year-old. Liverpool and Manchester United have previously been named as admirers.
Sesko scored 21 goals in all competitions last season and is recognised as one of the best young number nines in Europe.
He is understood to remain relaxed on his future and is prepared to stay at Leipzig for another season. The German side are under no pressure to sell Sesko despite the absence of European football in 2025/26.
