Three-Way Scramble for Serie A Crown: Who Wil Win?

It shapes up to be one of the most thrilling Serie A title races in recent memory, with only three points separating the leading trio. Reigning champions Inter are still on top of the pile, but only barely, as runners-up Napoli remain hot on their heels, trailing by a single point.
That’s not to mention that third-placed Atalanta could still bring home the first-ever Scudetto. Gian Piero Gasperini’s charges sit three points adrift of Inter, a side they will face at the Gewiss Stadium later this month.
Although almost every Bitcoin Sportsbook backs the Nerazzurri for success, this enthralling three-way race could still go each way. Much will depend on the contenders’ form, considering Simone Inzaghi’s men are often relentless in crunch moments.
Heavily fancied to become the first Serie A champions to defend their crown in five years, Inter have recently shown glimpses of fatigue. In addition to a scrappy 1-0 home triumph against bottom-half Genoa, they barely claimed a 1-1 draw at Napoli last weekend.
Indeed, Inter finished the second half without a single shot on goal but still emerged from an intense contest at Stadio Diego Maradona undefeated. However, they lost Federico Dimarco to injury in the process. As a result, the fitness situation at the San Siro is going from bad to worse.
Dimarco has joined Carlos Augusto, Yann Sommer, Nicola Zalewski, and Matteo Darmian on the sidelines. Furthermore, Hakan Calhanoglu and Marcus Thuram aren’t 100% fit. All that could compromise Inter’s bid to ascend the throne come May.
If there’s anyone capable of pushing Inter to their limits, it’s their former boss Antonio Conte. Now in charge of Napoli, the four-time Scudetto winner seeks his fifth title in his first season in Naples. Conte is a natural-born winner, making it impossible for others to neglect his presence in this quest.
He has already turned Napoli’s fortunes around. The Partenopei looked lost in mid-table this time last season. And now, they’re only a point off the top place, boasting the division’s best defensive record and one of the most intimidating home stadiums in Italy.
Despite losing Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Conte has kept Napoli firmly embroiled in the Scudetto run-in. There’s absolutely no doubt he’ll be at his best when all the chips are in the middle toward the end of the season.
It feels like Atalanta must deal with some psychological barriers to truly become a viable title contender. Gasperini’s team proved their capacity to shine on the big stage by trouncing undefeated Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen in last season’s Europa League final.
However, something’s missing in Serie A. La Dea wasted a glorious opportunity to reduce the gap to a point last weekend, drawing 0-0 with relegation-battling Venezia on home turf. Mistakes like that could make the difference in these close battles, and Atalanta must make sure not to repeat them down the final stretch.
Talent is bursting at the seams in Bergamo, and it’s only a matter of desire. If Gasperini can keep his players focused and avoid these slip-ups, Atalanta have a genuine possibility to dethrone Inter this season.
