Thuram ‘likely to miss’ Coppa Italia final as Inter face Lazio | OneFootball

Marcus Thuram could be a major doubt for Inter in Wednesday's Coppa Italia final against Lazio.

Sky Sport Italia reports that Thuram sustained an injury in training and is likely to miss the match entirely. Further tests are required to assess the damage, and there are strong doubts he will recover in time.

Kick-off is at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday at 20.00 UK time, 21.00 CEST. The tie will be settled after 90 minutes, extra time or penalties if needed.

Inter arrive as favourites after securing the Scudetto and they beat Lazio 3-0 at the Olimpico in Serie A at the weekend. Thuram recently scored the opening goal in the Serie A win against Parma.

Francesco Pio Esposito returns from a back problem, though Ange-Yoan Bonny is more likely to partner Lautaro Martinez up front.

Hakan Calhanoglu is not training with the group and should watch from the stands, so Petar Sucic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are pushing for a midfield berth alongside Piotr Zielinski.
