It's that match that everyone looks forward to twice a year. It's the one that makes us dream, the one that makes our mind and hopes race. 90 minutes that produce huge emotion, creating memories to keep, or to forget. Inter and AC Milan are ready to meet in November, the same month when two Rossoneri stars achieved new feats for the first time 15 years ago: Massimiliano Allegri and Zlatan Ibrahimović. As we get ready for the first derby of the season, let's travel in our Time Machine, back to the fixture on 14 November 2010.

The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri met after contrasting years: the former side had a season full of trophies (except the European Supercup), the latter had a definitive end of a cycle and were very determined to bounce back. However, on that November Sunday, it was AC Milan who were ahead in the table: the result of a great start by Allegri's team, boosted by the customary 4-3-2-1 and the involvement of a great of this fixture: Zlatan Ibrahimović. He was playing his first derby as a Rossoneri, after playing for Inter for three seasons full of trophies and goals, also against AC Milan. It was a game full of emotion, regardless of the Rossoneri's drive for redemption after losing both games to Inter the season before. The game was decided in only five minutes of play.

So much, in fact, happened right from kick-off (there was an interesting chance for Seedorf in between) that led to the moment that decided the evening. Long ball forward to Ibra, who then tried to dribble past Lúcio and Materazzi on the left wing. This move forced the Italian defender into making the foul, with Tagliavento who didn't hesitate before pointing to the spot. The Swede was ice-cold from 12 yards, beating Castellazzi in front of the North stand and putting us deservedly in front. The game remained tense and lively, with chances for both teams and also plenty of cards. AC Milan played the last 30 minutes a man down, with Abate getting his second yellow, yet the scoreline stayed the same. AC Milan beat Inter 1-0, marking an important step towards the 18th Rossoneri Scudetto.
