With the EFL over and the Premier League nearing its finale, transfer focus is intensifying across the Midlands.

Albion are monitoring a January-linked goalkeeper’s situation and signed Max O’Leary from Bristol City, who impressed. He is out of contract and the retained list is pending. The Sunderland Echo reports that Anthony Patterson, now at Millwall after falling out of favour, still faces an uncertain next season.

Gomes is set to be among the Wolves exits this summer after links to Napoli and Atletico Madrid. Spain is currently viewed as his likeliest destination. Fresh ‘new meetings’ are expected in the coming weeks to try to close a deal.

Beskitas signed Wolves defender Emmanual Agbadou in January, and are now linked in Türkiye with interest in another centre back. Yerson Mosquera has also been linked after relegation was confirmed.

Sheffield Wednesday’s Swedish midfielder Svante Ingelsson is attracting interest from several Championship clubs. He was a rare bright spot in a grim season that featured administration and relegation.

Villa are considered unlikely to bring Douglas Luiz back on a permanent deal this summer. He left for Juventus in 2024, returned in January and has made 17 appearances, there is no obligation to buy and about £23m has been mentioned, while Villa are also eyeing out of contract Rangers prospect Bailey Rice.
