Toni Martínez shares FC Porto supporter’s letter and reflects on enduring bond | OneFootball

Toni Martínez has shared a handwritten letter from an FC Porto supporter thanking him for his time at the Dragão.

According to O Jogo, the Alavés striker posted the note on Sunday and wrote that moments like these are what endure, before thanking João.

In the message, the fan thanked Martínez for advice that helped him attend a game, said memories from the Dragão were special, praised the striker’s kindness and approachability, wished him luck, and added that he is greatly missed.

Martínez spent a season with Famalicão before joining Porto in 2020, staying until 2024. With Porto he won seven trophies, one league title, two Portuguese Cups, three Super Cups and one League Cup.

Now 28 and in his second season at Alavés, he has 11 goals and three assists in 33 appearances this campaign. The Basque side are fighting to stay up and are currently 15th in LaLiga.

The exchange underlined the strong connection Martínez retains with Porto supporters despite his move to Spain.
