Recent days have seen a number of briefs coming out about Chelsea’s summer plans. In an almost direct response to the complaints made by some senior players in the international break, it seems that the focus will be on bringing in experienced players to add to the young talents already in the squad.
That seems sensible – but don’t think that will rule the Blues out from continuing to try and acquire the best talents around.
One name that keeps coming up is Said el Mala of Koln. The 19 year old has bagged 10 league goals in 28 appearances, and has attracted the attention of multiple Premier League clubs, including the Blues.
CaughtOffside’s latest report on the move says that German sources including Bild are highlighting our interest in the winger.
The only issue for the Blues may be convincing the teenager that Stamford Bridge is his best move. There are a lot of Premier League teams interested, and many of them can offer far more direct pathways to the first team. Chelsea have a lot of competition already, and another winger in the form of Geovany Quenda to arrive this summer.
One of Chelsea’s main aims for the Man City game seems to simply beat them in one of the simplest stats of all.
Jacobo Ramon is another player we’ve seen get linked to Chelsea a lot – but it seems like we might have a major rival for his signature.
