Leon Goretzka is once again the focus of transfer rumors at FC Bayern. Numerous top international clubs are said to be keeping a close eye on the midfielder – and a departure in the winter is suddenly no longer taboo
For a good year and a half now, Leon Goretzka has been one of the names regularly mentioned in connection with possible departures from FC Bayern. And the German international has been disproving this narrative for just as long with stable performances in the record champions‘ shirt. Nevertheless, the speculation surrounding his future shows no sign of abating – on the contrary. There are currently growing indications that several top international clubs are sniffing out their chance
The 30-year-old has everything that is in demand on the transfer market: international experience, titles at the highest level and a profile that fits into almost every top team. Six German championships, two DFB Cup victories, a Champions League triumph and 67 international caps speak for themselves. Added to this is a contract that expires in the summer of 2026 – a factor that makes Goretzka particularly interesting for many clubs

According to information from transfer insider Ekrem Konur, a whole host of well-known clubs are reportedly interested in Goretzka, with interest ranging from the Premier League and Serie A to Spain and Turkey. The range of clubs that are said to have Goretzka on their radar is particularly striking, with both sporty, ambitious clubs and financially strong addresses said to be willing to deal with the midfielder
Specifically, these are allegedly Fenerbahce and Galatasaray from Istanbul, Juventus Turin and SSC Napoli from Serie A, the Spanish duo Sevilla FC and Atlético Madrid as well as the two English top clubs Manchester United and FC Arsenal
According to Konur, Munich would not put any obstacles in Goretzka’s way should he seek a transfer, a clear sign that the club is open to talks – even if it is emphasized internally that they do not actually want to weaken the squad in winter. After the 4-0 win in Heidenheim, sporting director Max Eberl also emphasized that they would be willing to talk to dissatisfied players
Goretzka’s activity on social media recently caused additional unrest, with the fact that he removed almost all Bayern references from his Instagram profile quickly being interpreted as a possible farewell signal
The initial situation is clear: Goretzka needs planning security, especially with a view to the 2026 World Cup. Regular playing time at the highest level is crucial for this. Whether he sees this perspective at FC Bayern or at a new club is likely to be decisive for his future.
