The 33-year-old recently announced that he will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, and speculation over his next club is rife.
Last season Salah delivered one of the most impressive individual campaigns in Premier League history, and people have not forgotten that.
Clubs from Saudi Arabia, the USA and across Europe are all being linked with a potential move for Salah and now a senior official at a top European club has weighed in on his side’s involvement.
One of the biggest clubs rumoured to be interested in Salah this summer is Bayern Munich.
Recent reports claimed that the German champions had put an offer on the table to the legendary forward following comments made by the Egyptian National Team director, but Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberle has now disputed this.
Speaking to WinWin, Eberle explicitly denied the claim made by Ibrahim Hassan, saying: “No, Mohamed Salah did not receive any offer from Bayern Munich.”
Obviously just because Bayern haven’t made an offer to Salah yet does not mean that they never will, and Eberle did not rule them out of moving for the Egyptian in the future.
Salah will no doubt have a whole host of offers come the summer, with the player’s agent publicly confirming recently that there was no deal in place and that the 33-year-old does not know where he’ll play his football next season.
From a financial point of view it would appear that Saudi Pro League clubs are able to make the most attractive offers to Salah, but that does not guarantee he will end up in Saudi Arabia, and an offer to continue performing at the top level of European football would be hard to turn down.
