Samuele Ricci, Morten Frendrup, and Warren Bondo are among Inter Milan’s targets ahead of a likely summer midfield shakeup.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri are likely to replace both Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani next summer.

Inter currently have a couple young midfielders who are struggling for playing time.

Davide Frattesi is reportedly already pushing for an exit. The 25-year-old is unhappy with the fact that he is not a regular starter.

Meanwhile, Asllani has not really cemented his place, even though he is the main backup for Hakan Calhanoglu.

There is a sense that, unless either of the pair find another gear over the second half of the season, their time at Inter will be up.

If either of Frattesi or Asllani do indeed leave, then there is no question Inter will look to replace them.

And if both of the two midfielders head for the exit door, then the Nerazzurri will make two signings.

Tuttosport report that Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci is Inter’s top target to reinforce in midfield next summer.

The 23-year-old has the ideal profile because he can play either in holding midfield or in a box-to-box role.

But then, there are a couple other young midfielders who have shone in Serie A this season.

Genoa’s Morten Frendrup and Monza’s Warren Bondo are also very much on Inter’s list.
