Inter striker Francesco Pio Esposito got his first experience in senior football last season.

The 18-year-old came through the youth ranks at Inter. He had starred for the Primavera or Under-19 team in the season prior to last.

Pio Esposito may have only scored three goals for Spezia last campaign.

However, the teenage striker impressed with his overall performances for the Ligurian side.

The sense is that, after a positive first campaign in senior football spent in Serie B, Pio Esposito would be ready to try his hand in the top flight.

And there would be no shortage of Serie A clubs hoping to bring the teenage striker in.

The likes of Lecce, Parma, and Cagliari are reportedly targeting the young striker.

But according to Di Marzio, it is Torino who are pushing the hardest to sign Pio Esposito this summer.

The Granata are aiming to reinforce in attack.

And the profile that they are seeking would be a tall, physically strong centre-forward with good holdup play attributes.

In this respect, Pio Esposito would be exactly the kind of player that they are looking for.

And according to Di Marzio, Torino have already made contact with Inter about signing the teenager striker.

The Sky transfer expert reports that the Piedmontese club have been working to try and find an agreement on the structure of a deal to sign Pio Esposito.

Di Marzio reports that Torino would like to sign the 18-year-old on an initial loan deal.

This would contain a purchase option. But Inter would also retain a buyback option, as they did when they sold midfielder Giovanni Fabbian to Bologna last summer.
