Igor Tudor has left Tottenham by mutual consent after overseeing one win as interim head coach
Tottenham have confirmed further departures after Igor Tudor's exit.
On Sunday, it was announced that Tudor had left Tottenham after just over a month in charge as the club’s interim head coach.
Tudor was appointed as a short-term replacement for Thomas Frank, but leaves Spurs having failed to win any of his five Premier League games, losing four in the process.
A draw against Liverpool followed up with a 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last-16 second leg did lift the mood around the club, but that was only temporary with the 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest serving as a harsh reminder.
Now, with Tottenham above the Premier League relegation zone by a single point with seven games to play, a decision has been taken to ensure they avoid relegation to the Championship.
In Tottenham's official statement regarding Tudor's exit, two further changes among the coaching staff were announced with Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci leaving their respective roles.
“We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect,” Spurs said.
“Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach.
“We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly. We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time.”
Tottenham are expected to move swiftly to appoint a new head coach before their next match which is away at Sunderland on April 12.
Roberto De Zerbi, Mauricio Pochettino and Andoni Iraola would all be in the frame for the permanent head coach position in the summer, if Spurs are still in the Premier League.
In the meantime, Bruno Saltor will be in charge of first-team training until a new appointment is confirmed.
