Tottenham ‘enter’ Sergi Dominguez race as Lazio valuation rises | OneFootball

Lazio now face competition from Tottenham Hotspur for Dinamo Zagreb defender Sergi Dominguez, with the asking price rising.

Sportitalia reports that Lazio had readied an offer of around €5m following detailed discussions with his representatives, but Spurs’ interest is pushing the valuation higher and it is likely to be beyond their reach.

The centre-back turned 21 last month and has represented Spain at various youth levels. A Barcelona academy graduate, he joined Dinamo Zagreb last summer for €1.2m.

He made 41 competitive appearances this season, contributing two goals and four assists from defence.

The Aquile are planning a rebuild under incoming coach Gennaro Gattuso, with Maurizio Sarri leaving for a new challenge with Atalanta. Their transfer strategy remains uncertain, and Alessio Romagnoli and Mario Gila are seemingly keen to leave.
