Several journalists have dismissed rumours that Tottenham Hotspur forward Randal Kolo Muani has suffered a hamstring injury and could be out for three weeks.

The rumour was initially posted on an ‘in-the-know’ social media account, but was quickly rubbished by three reputable sources.

Spurs are back in action against Aston Villa on Sunday, and it will be intriguing to see whether Kolo Muani is involved.

He started in the 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday before being withdrawn ahead of the second half.

Tottenham cannot afford any more injuries right now with ten first-team stars currently unavailable for selection after various knocks.

Xavi Simons is out for the season after getting stretchered off against Wolves.

Dejan Kulusevski, Mohammed Kudus, Ben Davies, Wilson Odobert, Cristian Romero, Guglielmo Vicario, Dominic Solanke, Pape Matar Sarr and Destiny Udogie are also sidelined.

James Maddison was included in the matchday squads against Wolves and Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, he is not fully fit and is unlikely to feature against Villa.

Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi has a huge selection headache on his hands and may need to rely on some youth players for the remaining games.
