Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky will undergo surgery at the end of the season and will miss the World Cup.

The 23-year-old has been in goal since Guglielmo Vicario was ruled out through injury in March, and he has restored his confidence after a calamitous performance against Atletico Madrid.

Spurs have won two and drawn two of the six league games Kinsky has played since taking over from the Italian.

He is set to play against Everton on Sunday as Tottenham eye survival, and manager Roberto De Zerbi will be confident he can deliver in their biggest game of the season.

Kinsky has been playing through the pain barrier for several weeks, and helping to keep Spurs up would be huge for him.

While he has yet to make his senior debut for Czechia, he received his first call-up for them in October 2024 ahead of Nations League matches against Albania and Ukraine.

Kinsky would have been in consideration for the final World Cup squad after he was included in the preliminary squad.

However, he will not play this summer and will hope to recover quickly ahead of pre-season.
