Former Tottenham Hotspur star Andy Reid is of the opinion that Spurs star Mohammed Kudus put in an electrifying performance against Slavia Prague on Tuesday.

Kudus has been a mainstay in Thomas Frank’s starting lineup this season and he has delivered eight goal contributions in 14 Premier League games so far.

On Tuesday, Spurs took on Slavia Prague at home in the Champions League and secured a comfortable 3-0 win where Kudus registered a goal alongside Xavi Simons, while there was an own goal by David Zima.

Kudus did not feature for the full 90 minutes in the game, but his performance impressed Reid, who pointed out that the right winger was electrifying throughout the match.

The ex-Spurs star added that Tottenham have quality players in the forward department in the form of Simons, Randal Kolo Muani and Wilson Odobert, but warned that a lot of work needs to be done by Frank to improve Spurs in general.

“They have got quality players in top areas”, Reid said on the BBC’s Football Daily (22:20)

“Simons is there, but you also have got Kudus, who was electric tonight when he was on the pitch.

“I think he played just over 60 minutes, but he was really, really good.

“Odobert came to the party tonight as well; he was good.

“Kolo Muani, when he came on, looked a handful, so they have got good players in the forward areas, so there are definitely positives, but also with a bit of warning that there is still plenty of work to be done here.”

Simons has had a difficult start to the season in a Tottenham shirt, but Frank insisted that the Dutch star needed time to adjust and the forward on Tuesday scored his second goal of the season.

Kolo Muani, who scored two goals and registered an assist in Spurs’ previous Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain, came off the bench against Slavia Prague for 22 minutes.
