Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Savinho has told Manchester City that he wants to leave this summer, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Lilywhites have been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old since last summer, and they could now finally lure him to London.
Savinho will fancy his chances of playing regularly under Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi.
The Brazilian can feature on both wings and will be desperate to prove himself elsewhere after struggling for chances at Man City.
Pep Guardiola had others ahead of the Spurs target in his pecking order, and it appears he is not in the plans of new City manager Enzo Maresca either.
Talks between Spurs and Savinho’s camp are now expected to advance in the coming days.
An agreement could also be struck soon, and Tottenham fans will be delighted to have him at the club.
Spurs have strengthened in defence and midfield this summer, and attention will now shift to their attack.
They spent a combined £185 million on midfield duo Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes.
Jan Paul van Hecke joined from Brighton & Hove Albion in a £52m deal, while Martin Dubravka, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi were signed as free agents.
