Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a shock move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side have been ambitious in the summer transfer window.
The Lilywhites have already wrapped up deals for Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi, while they recently had a £75 million bid rejected for Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali.
According to The i Paper, Tottenham are now considering a move for United star Rashford.
They do not intend to meet the winger’s £40 million release clause, but would be prepared to make a lower offer.
Rashford spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Barcelona after falling out of favour at Old Trafford.
He was impressive with his performances for the Spanish giants, bagging 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions.
Barcelona had an option to sign him permanently for £26m, but the deadline for that price has already passed.
The 28-year-old’s preference would be to return to the Blaugrana, but a transfer looks unlikely after they spent £69.3m to sign his international team-mate Anthony Gordon.
Rashford is currently in the United States with England’s squad for the World Cup 2026.
He started on the bench against Croatia last week, but made a quick impact after Thomas Tuchel introduced him in the second-half.
Rashford scored with a fine finish after 85 minutes to help the Three Lions seal a 4-2 victory.
