Tottenham turn down multiple approaches for Will Lankshear | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur have knocked back a flurry of transfer approaches for young striker Will Lankshear.

Sporting CP, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton have all had formal approaches explicitly rejected by Spurs over the last couple of days.

Lankshear’s surging market valuation stems from an exceptional individual campaign with Oxford United, where he spent last season.

Despite the team suffering relegation from the Championship, the dynamic centre-forward stood out as an elite focal point over 47 appearances.

He registered 12 goals and two assists, and deservedly swept Oxford’s end-of-season awards, collecting the Young Player of the Year trophy and the club’s Golden Boot.

The ‘really hungry‘ forward has now returned to Hotspur Way and has seemingly caught the direct attention of new manager Roberto De Zerbi, who is mobilising his first full pre-season in London.

While De Zerbi is overseeing a massive squad overhaul with six signings already through the door and more expected, he is eager to evaluate Lankshear ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

A decision regarding Lankshear’s future is expected before the squad jets off for their pre-season tour of New Zealand and Australia later next week.

His contract runs until June 2029, giving Spurs leverage. Unless a club tables an astronomical offer, Spurs are fully content to keep Lankshear.
