With the EFL season finished and the Premier League nearing its conclusion, transfer talk around Wolves, West Brom and Aston Villa is gathering pace.

ExpressAndStar.com reports that Raul Jimenez has opened the door to a Wolves return after comments following Wolves’ clash with Fulham. The cult forward is out of contract at Fulham this summer.

Teenage forward Mateus Mane is expected to attract attention. Rob Edwards was asked about the youngster’s future on Sunday.

Albion are keen on Falkirk striker Barney Stewart, who has ripped up the SPL since the turn of the year. The 22-year-old has scored 10 goals in that spell and is the hottest young property in Scottish football.

Albion are reported to have had a seven-figure bid rejected, and Falkirk manager John McGlynn said bids would be weighed if the price is right. He noted fair offers from two or three clubs, said it is early and there is no rush, and expects more. He is unsure whether any proposal will satisfy the board.

Aston Villa are among several Premier League clubs interested in Real Sociedad attacker Ander Barrenetxea. The 24-year-old, who can play centrally or wide, has scored four times this season, and it has been claimed there is a £66m release clause that Villa are prepared to meet.
