Tricolour sick bay: Fluminense miss stars to face Independiente Rivadavia

Fluminense host Independiente Rivadavia in the second round of the 2026 Copa Libertadores. After drawing away from home in their opener against La Guaira, the Tricolor play their first home match of the competition. For the clash, Luis Zubeldía will be without a hugely important player, as Lucho Acosta picked up an injury in the last match and will be sidelined for 3 to 4 weeks.

In addition to the Argentine, the Tricolor will have other confirmed absences. Matheus Reis (knee surgery), Nonato (sprained right ankle), Germán Cano (grade 2 muscle injury), and Soteldo (still dealing with pain in the back of his thigh).
