Tuttosport have crowned Antonio Conte as the “real winner” of Juventus vs Milan, arguing that Napoli’s coach can feel reassured about his team’s Scudetto credentials after witnessing the disappointing 0-0 draw in Turin.

According to the Turin-based newspaper, via IlNapolista, the match was so devoid of intensity that they suggest Conte probably fell asleep before the end.

Both sides, it noted, were “mired in terrifying technical mediocrity” and paralysed by the fear of losing.

Tuttosport wrote that neither Juventus nor Milan have the quality or conviction to threaten Napoli’s ambitions.

The newspaper added that the two teams revealed their tactical limits, a shortage of ideas, and a lack of courage in the 0-0 draw on Sunday night in Turin.

The article also pointed to the key missed chances that summed up the night. Both sides struggle in front of goal: Pulisic missed a penalty, Leao had two late chances, David slipped and Gatti had a tame shot saved well by Maignan.

In Tuttosport’s words, “The spectacle was painfully low.”

It concluded that while “the league table remains difficult to interpret,” Milan’s early optimism has been “slightly downsized,” and Juventus “have bigger problems than their fifth straight draw.”
