West Ham United manager Nuno Espirito Santo has been added to the shortlist of manager options for Turkish giants Besiktas.
The Hammers endured a disastrous campaign, winning just ten matches all season and ultimately being relegated to the Championship on the final matchday after a 14-year stay in the Premier League.
Summer could bring a lot of changes at the London Stadium, as one Hammers legend called for a ‘total clear-out’, while there will need to be substantial player sales.
Nuno began the season as Nottingham Forest head coach but was sacked in September after his relationship with the club owner broke down, before being appointed by West Ham a couple of weeks later on a three-year contract.
Forest avoided the drop following the appointment of Vitor Pereira in February, but Nuno’s men were relegated from the Premier League by a two-point margin.

Besiktas ended the Turkish Super Lig campaign in fourth place with 60 points, falling short of Champions League qualification, and, unhappy with how the season unfolded, opted to part ways with manager Sergen Yalcin by mutual consent.
According to Turkish broadcaster TRT Spor (via En Son Haber), Besiktas have added Nuno to their managerial shortlist as they search for a new boss ahead of next season.
When the 52-year-old took the job in east London, Richard Keys predicted he would regret the move due to underlying issues off the pitch.
Back in January, with the club sitting in the relegation zone at the turn of the year, it appeared Nuno’s time at the helm was up, but he ultimately remained at the London Stadium through to the end of the season.

West Ham have insisted that Nuno will stay on for next season, but if Besiktas make a firm move, it is possible the boss could be tempted.
The Portuguese coach, who first made his mark at Rio Ave, has built an extensive managerial CV with spells at Valencia, Porto, Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur.
His finest work came at Wolves, where he guided the club to the Championship title in the 2017/18 season before delivering consecutive top-half Premier League finishes and Europa League football during the 2018/19 campaign.
West Ham look to be banking on that experience next season as they look to go straight back up.
