Tammy Abraham’s time at AC Milan has not been as fruitful as everyone would have hoped so far. Despite scoring the winner against Inter in the Supercoppa Italiana, there is more desired.
Moments in football are brilliant, but a career can not be filled with them. If it is, they must be done regularly. So far, Abraham is closer to the first statement. The Englishman has yet to prove himself fully for Milan, and this causes some concern.
With Alvaro Morata failing to hit the numbers he did last season in Spain, it would be hoped that Abraham could do so, but he has also struggled. Now though, he is set to be presented with an opportunity by Sergio Conceicao, according to Tuttosport (via Milan Press).
Against Juventus, the striker will lead the Diavolo, as his Spanish teammate is suspended. Conceicao will ‘throw him in’ from the get-go, presenting Tammy with the ‘most important opportunity‘ of his Milan career yet.
No decisions have been made about his future yet, and discussions have not led to any outcomes yet. However, the Rossoneri can be hopeful of a good performance from Abraham; he partners well with Rafael Leao and he has scored in the past against Juventus. The report ends with a simple statement, Abraham ‘must not disappoint’.
