The Frenchman’s suspension means he will miss the Serie A clash against Bologna this weekend, so starting him against Brugge will not be overloading his body. Leao’s absence was the latest move in his chess match against Paulo Fonseca, and the Portuguese head coach could look to offer the winger his turn on Tuesday.

According to Tuttosport (via Milan News), the duo should both return to the starting lineup, and the aces will have a ‘chance of redemption’. At present, the pair are lacking in team spirit, and this has disappointed the head coach, so they must take their chance on Tuesday.

Reports have suggested that Milan no longer have ‘untouchable’ players, so if their performances are not up to the standard required, they will be absent once again, especially now the Diavolo have proven that they can win without Theao.
