The Coppa Italia final – which will be played on May 14 in Rome – has a consequence: putting on hold any discussion about the future of AC Milan.

But now let’s think about the championship, about winning against Bologna. Then what happens to me, to Allegri or others, doesn’t concern me. Why Allegri? Because people always talk about him.”

Allegri’s name was evidently not mentioned by chance: he has been one of the possible candidates for the job for months even if there have been no official contacts. The former Juventus and Milan coach is free from contract too, though the sporting director must come first.
