Two members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona have this week made clear their commitment to the cause at the club.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of Mundo Deportivo that both Ronald Araújo and Marc Bernal have requested an early return for pre-season training.
In the case of the former, the Uruguayan is of course fresh off an altogether difficult campaign in Catalunya’s capital in 2024/25.
Evidently of the opinion that he has still not fully recovered from a recent long-term spell on the sidelines, Araújo, in turn, is ready to take his place at the The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper this coming week.
And the defender could well be joined by an up-and-coming teammate, in Marc Bernal.
Midfielder Bernal is of course in the midst of the final stages of his recovery from an ACL tear suffered all the way back in August of last year.
Desperate to reestablish himself in the plans of manager Hansi Flick as soon as possible, the 18-year-old, in turn, is also eager to ramp up his training endeavours by way of an early return to base in Barcelona this week.
