Two Barcelona stars suffered ‘knocks’ against Monaco | OneFootball

Two important members of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad picked up respective knocks during the club’s most recent outing.

Barca, of course, marked their return to action on Thursday night, making the trip to France for a Champions League meeting with AS Monaco.

When all was said and done in the clash, the Catalans were condemned to the wrong side of a 2-1 result, after Eric García was given his marching orders just ten minutes in at the Stade Louis II.

And yet, Barcelona’s concerns on Thursday were not confined solely to the eventual scoreline.

This comes amid confirmation that a pair of the Blaugrana’s key performers were the recipients of respective ‘knocks’ over the course of the 90 minutes.

The pair in question? Lamine Yamal, and Marc Casadó.

Amid something of an early-season injury crisis in Hansi Flick’s squad, the last thing which Barca would need is to hear of another of the club’s stars being condemned to a spell on the sidelines.

Thankfully, however, this will not prove to be the case.

As per a report from Diario Sport, La Masia graduates Lamine and Casadó are both expected to recover in time to feature against Villarreal in their side’s return to La Liga action on Sunday.
